One of the best things about blogging is that writing has also opened doors for me to read some pretty amazing stuff that other people out there are writing. Sometimes I find it really inspirational; other times I find it hopelessly disheartening because there are bloggers out there who are doing a much better job at this than I am, but I digress!
So, in the spirit of “reading makes us all better writers” I’d like to link up to a few pretty amazing things that I’ve read over the last week or so:
A little funny from over at Fibromy-Awesome (a blog I just discovered today); it completely echos my thoughts on what should NOT be posted on Facebook, with a witty, sarcastic sense of humour that I just love!
A little lovely post over at Momastery about the differences in motherhood from your first child, to your second child, to your third child. Considering I have recently been through the “should we have another one” debate – like a never-ending circle for the past year. Reading this made me want to chuck it all and go for it (almost)!
A beautiful, hilarious and totally 100% on the mark post about trying to maintain a semblance of your physical appearance while living with a toddler. This blogger (theydonttellyou) is one of my favourites – and I love the fact that she’s in Toronto!
A little ditty from Boob Juice that proves it’s not how much you write, but what you write. And heh, anyone who can write a Haiku gets bonus points from me!
And finally, back over to Momastery for a post that I think I’ve read 10 times in the last week and I’ve cried each and every time. The lady who writes on this blog and I come from different religious backgrounds and live in different countries but she phrases this so beautifully and succinctly that it just makes me weep. I’d be right there with you, buying a rainbow t-shirt!
Hope you enjoy these as much as I have. And kudos to the writers, your words have made me laugh and cry and you give me something to work towards!
